Grey heron landing
This was taken at Slimbridge today.

While sat in one of the hides(the big one in the far corner, forgot the name doh!).This heron came zooming inn to land.He just missed the fencing and landed in the reeds at the edge of the water.

20D
EF500 f4 L
Resting on the hide window
ISO 200
1/1250 @ f5.6
Expo comp -2/3

C & C welcome

Thanks for looking :wavey:

lovely capture, i cant work out if its a little soft in the head area, focus seems to be on near wing, or maybe its just too late and been staring at pixels too long. nice.

Yeah i'd have to agree with you.It was a bit frantic when he came zooming in fast.So i just had to lock onto his body. But saying that i dont think my good old 20D would of locked onto its head anyway lol, to small.
