Hi Andy,
That is right but it was a choice of 500 600 or 70-300. 500 and 70-300 to slow but 600 f4 gave some much better results

The eye looks to be sharpish, but with too much out of focus tree and a crop that stretches the neck a bit I'm afraid it doesn't work for me.

Not quite sharp enough and the highlight blob unfortunately lands right behind the ear. That's the cool thing about Formby, its always open and accessible so you can quickly gain experience and perfect your images.
