Mark Ferguson and I spent all day Friday on Kebler Pass and split Saturday between Kebler and Ohio Passes.
Kebler is nowhere near peak, probably needs another week, especially on the far west side.
Ohio is looking pretty good, but will be best in another 4-5 days.
Although there are pockets of nice color there's a surprising amount of green left everywhere.
McClure is looking good, very near peak.
Processing shots from the past two days now, will post some photos ASAP.

Thanks, Nat. I'm thinking about heading to Kebler next weekend. San Juans the following week. Hope the timing is good. Thanks for the update.

Nat, when you mention "McClure is very near peak" are you referring to the north, south or both sides of the pass? I'm most interesting in the south so if you have some more detail on that I would appreciate it.

Craig -The north side of McClure Pass is near peak; not a lot of color on the south side except for near the top of the pass, where there are some decent stands at peak - overall south looks very dry - and Paonia reservoir is drained (maybe not news).
Thanks Nat - I'll be in the Kebler/Ohio neighborhood on Wed. and hope for peak color.

More updates - the south side of Boreas is at peak now, as is the west side of Weston. If you're going out into central Colorado in the next couple of days, you might want to check out the Leadville side of Weston, especially if you haven't been there (as I hadn't before today).... lots of photo opps and a very pretty area.
The higher elevations of Independence Pass are near peak also, with some spots already dropping leaves. Lower elevations still lots of green.
Probably the nicest color we saw all weekend was around Aspen - but the rain severely impeded our plans for Sunday shoots. Check the weather wherever you're going.
