Most of my aspen shots were taken up at Frazer Meadow today, which looks to be at peak. The rest of the park isn't as developed yet.

Nice stuff. The hike to Frazer Meadow is a classic. I really like the couple of shots that have the diffused, glowing look to them. Did you get a chance to get to Panorama Point? If so how did the aspen there look?

Nice shots. I like the images of the old cabin.

Joshua, Panorama wasn't fully turned when I drove past it yesterday - they should last another week if they're not blown down.. However, many of the Aspen on the distant mountains were looking pretty good.

Nice stuff Rebecca. I like the B&W of looking up at the aspens. I've seen lots of looking up shots, but I don't know I've ever seen it in B&W. The structures look cool too.

John-
My aunt saw a b/w aspen upshot like that in a model townhome somewhere and decided she didn't want to pay $500+ for a nice print like that and asked me if it was something I could do. So a good chunk of my motivation for making the trip up this weekend was to get that shot for her. I'm going to see about getting printed on canvas for her Christmas gift.

The funny thing about the b/w is that it's of some aspens that were still green. The conversion on the yellow ones just wasn't working out very well. The yellows got very blown out since they were highly contrasted by the sky, but the green ones worked out well.

Wonderful shots Becky! You have convinced me to take a ride up and explore the meadow next week, thanks!

Nice job with this comp and detail in the image. A wide range of images - you were busy!

One suggestion: Be careful with backgrounds on your closeups and shoot wide open.

Update on Panorama Point: drove past there in the dark tonight and my high beams picked up a lot of yellow. Looks like the trees there are now about 50% as a rough guess.
