I spent Saturday afternoon on Guanella Pass. The colors up there are near peak, probably somewhere around 85-90% yellow. The road was extremely busy with foliage-frenzied Front Rangers, but the color is looking very nice there now if you are looking for a quick place to visit from Denver. I've posted are some photos to illustrate the conditions.
Here is a photo of aspen a couple of miles on the Grant side from the summit.

Here is another photo of moving water taken from the Grant side of the summit, a few more miles down the road.

Beautiful images! I really like the first and third image. The colors on the third are great.

Thanks guys. For anyone who hasn't been up there recently I forgot to mention the road has a lot of potholes. Personally, I didn't have any problems with it (just about any road with pavement at all can't be as bad as most of the 4wd roads I've driven this summer) but there are several people who are ticked off about the condition of the road as I found in this story today. http://www.9news.com/news/local/article.aspx?storyid=77803
Better leave your lowrider at home.

A couple of months ago the Georgetown side of the road had a lot of construction in progress. Have they stopped work for the season?

Thanks for the color update. I really like #'s 1 and 3.
Nice stuff, I especially like the reflection. Thanks for the update.

Very nice Joshua. If you've never hiked the Scott Gomer trail towards abyss lake, you should consider adding that to your fall trip to this area. There are some large stands of aspen along that trail.
