A thunderstorm blew through last night causing minor flash flooding in the creeks and dumping snow on the La Sals down to about the 10,500' level, maybe lower. Bring it on!
I took a ride into the La Sals last weekend and the aspens are looking very nice in some areas, though still lots of green (see attached self-portrait). The cottonwoods are just starting to show signs of autumn. I suspect they'll show some consistent color in 2-3 weeks.

Thanks for the report, Bret. A self portrait while riding your bike... interesting!

I feel jipped!!! Where's the snow on the La Sal's????? Oh now I get it, you forgot your camera on the side of the road.
Seriously though, it looks like things are coming along nicely from this shot.
I liked it better when you posted action shots of Melissa.

What CAZ, you don't find the back of my helmeted head attractive? Geez!
Sorry about not posting any photos of the snowcapped La Sals. It's been very hectic and interesting at work and I haven't had time to snap a photo. Maybe soon...
