Cheers guys, I wasnt expecting that. I always end up lurking on the main NPN site even though I am from Devon. Tristan Campbell did ask me to post on here as he is often on the main site too, I really should post some more. I used to be 8bit Barry on here about three to four years ago, dont know if that jogs any memories for anyone...
No luck with the lens as yet except in Canada, where the import duties will kill it even further, I will keep looking... any help / info gratefully accepted.

Hi Dave,
Good to see you around here. Is there any reason for AF lens? I mean 35 mm is plenty wide enough for you to be able to focus manually. KEH have those in stock, if you are interested. I'll ask around for AF version.
I remember 8bit Barry, and that confusing signature. Whats with the move to film, I though you were digital through and through.

I need a really high quality paperweight for my invoices! No being serious I am building a prototype DSLR sensor for Canon and I need a new high powered monacle so I can see what I am doing... no now seriously (!) its for my mate.
Anyway hello TomW Marko Tristan and others I remember here, great to hear from you all.
I too remember 8bit Barry. I visit your website on a regualr basis David, your work is stunning, love the travel stuff especially.
Please put me out of my misery though and tell me what your signature says,I've wondered for years but never got round to asking

Well its a signature, so it says David Clapp allegedly. Well in theory it says David Clapp, its just mutated into some bizarre mess really since I quested for a cool signature to bounce student cheques with all those years ago. I actually wrote the particular one with a marker pen on a piece of A4 so it was even more abstract, photographed it with a P&S, inverted it, removed the background, and added an Outerglow in CS2 and saved as a seperate layer just to confuse you Justin! Thanks for the comments and I glad you like the travel shots too, I just love going abroad and taking them.
