I am a new member here and I am enjoying the many comments and suggestions made by members. I have a problem which I have reviewed with Jim but do not have a solution. On my Dell Latitude laptop, I can not click on a thumbnail and see the larger image except when the image is hosted by another site and linked to NP. I have no problem on other sites. I am using
Windows XP home edition and Firefox both are up to date. Does anyone have suggestions to fix this problem. Thanks .

Mark, hopefully we'll get some new ideas here.

BTW, Mark has a desktop that is not having the problem. The problem occurs with both IE and Firefox, so I don't think it's browser related. My guess is because it's an older machine that has had a newer OS installed that it may be a memory issue.

Any ideas/input are appreciated!

Not sure if this is the solution at all, but I recall having a similar issue in designing websites - if the image was placed as a background element to a table, such as those hosted on NPN are, then seeing the image would work on some systems and browsers, but not others. I think my solution (although keep in mind this was a while ago so I'm not positive this is the solution in this case or was the whole solution then) had something to do with the webmaster side of things and rewriting of the html source (rather than background=, I switched it to the css style background-image:url(.....)

Mark, weren't you able to view some hosted photos in the macro gallery?

Good Morning, the only large photos I can see in any gallery are ones linked to other sites and they load no problem.

Mark, how about Photoportfolios?

I can get all large photos from the thumbnils in any Photoportfolios gallery. Thanks

I had a problem seeing pictures with the windows pro edition and tried Opera instead. It worked.

The mystery deepens - we use the same software/scripting as the NPN galleries.

Just for the heck of it try the All Photos gallery and see if it happens there too.

Jim, I took Richard Tomalty's advise and downloaded Opera, it works like a charm. There is something in Firefox and Internet Explorer or older Dell laptops that will not load files over 1.0KB. So I solved my problem, found a new browser and re enforced my opinion that this is a great community. Thanks everyone.

Mark, great to hear! Goes to show that even if 2 different browsers have the same problem, it could still be a browser issue.
