I'd been eyeballing this perspective for a good month and the weather finally turned my way, so I went to scout it out for future potential. Of course I got skunked at sunset (as usual), but only because there was absolutely no clouds in the sky - though being on the east side of the mountain didn't help either. Despite the lack of color, this lake turned out to hold great potential from some angles, but it won't be fully realized until I can get back at sunrise. Enjoy.

Whoa, really interesting to have the trees in the lake !! A dusk super long exposure would look sweet also, I'm guessing.... and with the full moon for ambient light.....

Until your return I am enjoying this one as it is.... I really like the color in the water, and the arrangement of the trees...

Wow, that is a fantastic blue color in the water. Having the trees in there is interesting.

Great find. It's always fun shooting at a place that hasn't been photographed a bunch. Really like the water color, but not sure how I feel about the dead, submerged trees. I'll look forward to the sunrise version.

The trees definitely wouldn't have been my first choice had there been something else to anchor the image with, but the area is pretty much 10 foot fir trees interspersed with 10 foot alder trees, all growing on a massive pile of talus. There isn't a whole lot to work with.

The blue definitely makes this one nice. For me, the trees are no problem and add interest.
