Not sure if they really qualified as Caudle Clouds because they often weren't that interesting, but during my three days in Crested Butte, the clouds blocked 80% of the sunlight. They sucked the contrast out of my panoramic shots, caused splotchy dark spots from cloud shadows, and generally produced overly bright, too white skies. Anyway, above are some of my favorite photos from our last trip.
We climbed Marcellina Mountain, hiked the Three Lakes Trail, hiked to Frigid Air Pass, and hiked a bit in the Glacier Gorge area of RMNP.

They don't. However, I'd sure take ownership of some of the clouds in some of the shots posted in the link. (like the Frigid Air Pass views of the Bells) All in all, that is one fine collection of pics! That shot of Megan descending Marcellina (top right) is to die for. Great stuff!

I waited a long time to get a shot from Frigid Air where the mountain wasn't half covered in harsh cloud shadows but I failed to realize that the depth of Fravert Basin which was so apparent in person would be completely lost in photos so the composition wasn't really interesting in any of them anyway. A lot less photographers on that side of the bells though (zero).

Lars, your whole gallery is fantastic and makes me jealous of the adventures you guy took!! I definitely want to climb Marcellina some day, mostly because it is such a cool peak and also because you've shown how great the views are from the top. Very cool stuff!!
