OK - I've finally got a few pictures from the trip put together. I have to say that these are probably preliminary results, and I see a few that I want to rework. That's always the way it is, it seems.

Here’s a link to just the pictures:

And here’s a link to the pictures plus a minimum of commentary.

Hope you enjoy!

Very nice, Tim! Looks like you had a great trip. I really like the fallen tree shot from the Tetons...beautiful color.

Between you and Tom, I'm starting to feel like a real "homebody".

Bill I'll second all your comments .... including the homebody statement!

Wonderful images all around Tim. And great minds must think alike, the fallen tree resonated highly with me as well.

I hope to get a few from RMNP next week. :wavey:

Sorry, Larry - I'll be MIA tonight - out of town guests coming in.

Tim, really nice gallery, all your shots are great, but your B & W shots are special, the one of the Tetons with the clouds and the the shots at the Firehole River are my favorites.

Great series, looks like it was a great trip

Thanks for the comments everyone. I've been printing some these B&W images on Harman's Gloss Baryta paper, and they really do look great. Hahnemuhle is coming out with a competitive Baryta paper this fall - can't wait to try it!!

How do the baryta prints look coming out of that z? It sounds like the perfect paper for ultimate BW prints for sure...

The prints come off very nicely on the Z3100. There is depth and detail to the shadows that I don't see in matte papers, and as you'd expect with a PK (photo black) ink it has a very nice d-max. There is also a slight warmth to the prints that I really like - an oh-so-subtle effect of bronzing, perhaps? (Other non-matte papers are not nearly so subtle.) Though I've heard reports that the surface is fragile, I haven't had problems with it. Yet.

Papers just keep getting better and better! Can't wait to see what comes out next!

Hi Tim your images look great. I am VERY impressed with images on your blog. We have something in common I just returned from that area also. Grand Teton and Yellowstone seams like you could never run out of images to capture. If landscape is not right, just scout and shoot wildlife. alot of fun

Talk to ya later
