Puffin with supper
1DII, 300/2.8 + 1.4xII, 1/125s @ f/5 Ev-2/3, ISO200, handheld. Late evening.

Haven't posted many images for soooo long, so about time to start to make up for that (haven't taken many this year either!) - still wading through thousands of shots from the last few years in an effort to bin some and clear some disk space. Decided to keep this one though

This chap had had a rough landing - very blustery windy conditions, so he settled down for a bit of a loaf in a warm sunbeam on a ledge on the cliff. The out of focus surroundings are the cliff face each side of him.

Nick,

Its super, it feels just a little bit too warm, but love the isolation...

The complete isolation of the bird makes this one a bit special.
Good to see you posting again  :toast:

Like the concept, but looks a bit warm on my monitor.
