Bit of Color at Sylvan Pond, CVNP
I'm just back from a week in Virginia and off to southern Ontario tomorrow. Took advantage of a beautiful morning here to see how the color was progressing in the CVNP. Here's Sylvan Pond at about 8:30 this morning. No need to get there too much earlier as the shadow works it's way down these trees starting at about 7:15. You can see there are places where the leaves have changed, but we're probably a week or week-and-a-half from more complete color. We're not expecting any drastic weather changes through the week (70s/50s), so maybe the color will hold out longer.

Jack - we'll get decent WANING color unless another big wind storm hits.

If that happens, it's ducks, twigs, pumpkins, and rocks.
