Hi Tim,

That's a particularly striking image that looks to be superbly captured and expertly processed.Bitingly sharp. :toast:

Hi Alan,
Nope this ones 1/3sec at F/8. Did try a stack and it was the stacks seen here that gave me the initial inspiration but the lass came back with the "wrong" flowers, in my head i had stacking down for smaller stuff.
Still did one of a couple in CS3 using layers, align and a rubber, should try some fancy software.

cheers

Tim,
Good to see you using your rehabillitation period constructively. Sorry to hear about your injury, I hope you are well on the mend.

For me this image, whilst well exposed and sharp, is missing a certain "something".
Although I do like the B/W presentation I think much of the beauty of sunflowers is in the wonderfully evocotive yellow. Perhaps a selective mask to pick out the petals?

Hey up Chris!
You know I agree the yellow of sunflowers is gorgeous, I found my camera/computer couldn't reproduce it which is interesting perhaps its out of gamut hence I went B and W. I shall try a selective mask though.
Has your 1D gone rusty? Missing your fine work.

Different, striking and beautiful. Not a lot of monochrome work on... maybe you will kick start something with this fine portrait :toast: :toast:
