Light was OK but still too dark to catch these little speedy chaps, so ended up with using ISO400 for all my shots. The noise is not obvious here but at 100% is definately noticeable.

Thanks for looking.

A cute little chap and a well exposed image. Would have preferred a little less space above the squirrel and it's a shame about the peanuts, perhaps swapping them for some more natural foodstuff would be an option if you plan on going again.

Des, what do you use to process your images? My D50 at iso 1600 has almost no noticeable noise in print, any in the image at 100% is not distracting.

Btw may i recommend hazel nuts :)

Know what you mean guys - I didn't bring any feed with me, these were peanuts from other visiting spectators. I seem to recall there was an (scientific) article describing peanuts not being the best food source for them. Having said that, when I spoke to the NT chap at Formby, he told me that he sells some 700 packs a month!

Paul - I was referring to on-screen noise, perhaps it won't be as obvious in small prints.

The sensor noise is not visible in prints to A4. I havent printed above that as i'm out of A3 paper atm.
