Nice one Rob. Have you noticed these guys always seem to have a guilty look about them?

Hi Rob
What a beauty with great detail. The OOF hedgerows also work well for me giving this close-up a truely wild feel. Minor nit a little big in the frame for me!
The raised foot, intelligent expression and muted tones make for a fine image. Would personally prefer a little more room in front of the fox.

Super shot, such beautiful animals. 300mm eh, so were you lying in wait? Great work.

Hi Rob,
Firstly let me say that I haven't been able to even get a fox shot yet so ignore my nit if you wish. I admire the shot simply because you have it in the bag.
I love the stance and eye contact here but the eyes seem not to be critically sharp on my screen. (might be the resizing for web viewing).
Nice one, as said a tad big in the frame for my taste.. just love foxes, they were to have been one of my projects that unfortunately had to be put to one side for this year at least...

Hi Rob. Love the posture and the background is nice and clean which is rare for foxy pics. I also think the eyes are soft and the whole thing is a bit warm/yellow but I do prefer the 'cool' look - I just think foxes suit cooler images as they ping out more. Maybe snip the space behind the tale so it doesn't look like the fox is about step out the frame? These are all minor nits really as getting any clear decent shot of a fox is a big ask!

Hi All,
Taken onboard cast/softness/crop issues and done a rework. Is this better.

Your going to hate me... the repost is great but I feel it is slightly tight at the bottom.... I would happily sacrifice a bit of the space at the top for a bit more room for the virtual legs and feet.
Great image Rob, I agree with Phil about the legs, but that is easily sorted.
Best wishes
Phil

Hi Rob both are splendid shots, but I like the repost best, as Elliot suggested in reallly does pop better. Just a little bit more leg room would be perfection. John

Stonking repost!

The sleek posture really suits your pano crop, and the eye contact brings it to life beautifully.
Very nicely done!!
