I'd estimate the color turn on Ohio at 85%+ and Kebler area about 75%+ maybe a little more. There are areas of Kebler where stands are losing leaves and still large patches of green.
Here are some examples of the scenery Saturday and Sunday

The incoming storm skunked the sunset. It was a tad windy too. It started snowing about 10pm. Made for a nice morning (but a chilly night)!

Sunrise on the Castles from Ohio pass was a popular event.
This one needs some tweaking but I wanted to show the Ohio side.

Nice shots Kalin! I really like #1 especially, and I think I have about a dozen diff comps of that same area from over the weekend. I'm a sucker for those type of shots. Those are some great stands in there.
It was good to meet you in person sat night as well!
Looks like you had a busy and productive weekend! Wonderful stuff and thanks for posting, as I haven't gotten to Kebler yet, maybe this Thurs or Fri.

Michael, It was great to meet you and a few of the others that I hadn't run into yet! It was a nice gathering saturday night. Sunday was fun but I had to cut it short and head home so I can come out again next weekend .
I think this week through next weekend will be nice in the Kebler area. I'm thinking about swinging through there again on the way to the San Juans friday. I'd love to catch a nice sunset/alpenglow on the Ruby range.
Thanks for the comments, guys. Now I just need time for real processing. Maybe during the winter .
It was good meeting up with you Kalin. Yeah, I think Kebler will still be nice this weekend. I most likely have a work function up in Vail unless I can get out of it; I'd rather be in the San Juans than staring at the beetle damage in White River N.F.....
