I've been on the fence with this one for a while now. Let me know what you think about the foreground. Obviously the sky was pretty good  The foreground is wet/dry contrast left behind by a receeding pool on the desert playa.

Thanks!

Hey, Adamus, take a break or something, eh? I mean, get married, have kids, get a job, get a mortgage, you know, be normal!

Actually, don't do any of that stuff, keep doing what you're doing, it's inspiring.

I love it! The sky is awesome, the playa texture is awesome, and I even like the line between the wet/dry playa. Very striking image!

I love this also - what really strikes me is that the playa and differing colors from moisture are strong enough to match that sky. Very inspiring and slightly different from you in a very good way :toast:

Nothing wrong with this . Simple with great impact.

The clouds are definitely the factor that keeps this one alive. I can definitely see why you're on the edge about this shot. The contrast between the wet/dry ground is interesting, but I don't think its enough, really. A little bit of glare or reflection in the wet area would push this one over the edge, but as it is here, I don't think it works so much.

Yep, it's a keeper. The foreground works for me, and the sky is beautiful.

Very interesting! I like the combo of the wet and dry it adds a bit more character to the image.

I can´t spot laugh about Mark Hudon's comment
Man, in the other day you tell me that I have to add to your list the "desert", but it wasn´t necessary to prove that with such an amazing photo.:frown: This image is PERFECT...the incredible sky with great color and power and with the clouds converging to the center, in the mountains direction. Wet/dry is like "Yin and Young" combination and it was a very smart composition choice. There is also a good dark diagonal in the FG center of the image dividing the Wet/dry.

Mark, I'm a lurker from the RMNP side. I think this image would work better with a small crop from the bottom. That little "triangle" of dry (middle bottom) stops my eye from following the wet/dry diagonal. If it is cropped so that dry area is gone, my eye readily follows that diagonal and allows me to more fully enjoy the image. That's a small nit but one that improves the image IMHO.
