I've been looking out for one of these for several weeks now and have at last managed to get four images. This is the only one I've managed so far with the dear little thing (meant in all kindness) facing in the right direction. They don't hang about so I'm really chuffed that the focusing has worked so well.

When they're on the move this is just to long a lens and I should perhaps have removed the tc.

Nice image of a Goldcrest as we so frequently see them!

These little guys frustrate me nearly as much as bloomin' treecreepers - so well done you
Yep, they certainly are frustrating little buggers Paul, and ive yet to get one that i am happy with
Your focus seems to have done the job nicely, against the nearby clutter, and i'm sure you {and hopefully me } shall get an opportunity for some nice frame filling portraits/ less cluttered habitat shots, fairly soon.
Although this shot is set amoung its typical cluttered habitat, and obscured by the berries, its a banker, until you get further opportunities, me thinks!
