Well, I must be the Bone Head King! :frown: I was doing laundry, and I usually check every pocket before I do anything, but last night being a bit under the weather I wasn't paying close attention and missed a pocket.  What to my horrer when I emptied the Dryer and found my 80X 2GB Lexar Professional CF card.

In stead of putting it in the camera I put it in a reader and what to my surprise, it works just fine!  I think I'll run the Sensor on a Gentle cycle next!

Lucky dog! Make sure to let that thing dry out all the way before you use it in the camera though.

I washed a few over the summer, and after letting them sit and dry for about a week I tested them in my card reader and then took the big step and the camera. Not only were they washed, but made it into the dryer for a little while as well until I heard some noise.

I also washed mine (Sandisk Extreme III), and put it in the dryer... yeah for 45 mins. It was in the jeans pocket, so didn't hear any noise.

and now,... I'm still using it... nothing wrong with it at all, just a little cleaner.
looks like the built quality is pretty good.
