The weather is not looking good for the Fall Color event this weekend. With the recent very heavy rains, are there even leaves left?
Lots of the early color here in Welches are already ripped off the trees. boo.

Ned, please let us know if you find good stuff, and where. I gotta take Thursday off or I'll go crazy...way too much work with a new job ...ick...
I have hardly picked up my camera in 3 months.
Do you think the dahlias in are Canby still alive?

The weather reports I've see are giving us a break from the rain on Saturday and into Sunday morning...

Overcast is pretty good conditions for fall color if there is no view in the shot. Kinda like shooting waterfalls I'd think, where the light is less harsh....? I'm not sure where I'll be, I may be snowshoeing.

Sandy - I'm not sure if they dead-head those things or not, to be honest. They only advertise the fields to the end of September.

Will let you know what I find tomorrow - it will probably be here in Oregon..

I was there this last Saturday. Very nice vine maple and some other type of yellow maple, not big leaf. Huckleberries are close to being done at the berry fields. Not much of a view of Mt. Adams as it was rather showery most of the day. Haven't gotten my film processed yet. I will be at the coast this weekend for a business trip for my better half.

If there is sun this weekend then I am going to Timothy or Ollallie Lakes. Just to walk around and catch the sunset.
If it's rainy then I will go to Zigzag forest. To catch some rainy forest photos. If there is nothing to photograph then I will try some abstract. If my brain lacks creativity for abstract then at least I will bring home some mushrooms....

Watch the snow level, folks! I've got a trip planned on Saturday, but will be keeping an eye on the mountain pass cams to see what comes of the storms today and tomorrow. The National Weather Service has a snow advisory up through Friday morning, with 6-12" at pass levels, and snow as far down as 3800 feet... sheesh... what happened to our Fall..!?

Weather forecast for Trout Lake is looking better every day. currently it's partly cloudy and slight chance of showers the whole weekend, with Saturday looking to be the best day.
