Here's a sample of what can be seen in the Wahsatch range of Utah in September. The maples were peaking just about everywhere (Sept 21-28).
This was taken on the 28th. I haven't even begun to look at the other shots I took as they are on a portable hard drive and these were on my last flash card.
Because of the lack of Colorado's great mountain backdrops, I took a lot of photos with a 100-400IS and a 500f4IS by extracting small patches from the mountainsides.

Really nice, Don. I went to High School and College in Utah (Ogden and SLC). I miss the colors of the Wahsatch canyons. Guess I should plan to get back there for a fall trip sometime. I would like to get down to Zion early Nov and maybe catch some color but time is getting scarce.
Good stuff, Don. I really like that second one. Great color and I like how the red leaves in front of the two trees set them back in the composition just a bit. Very nice.
