White Wagtail (Juv)
Another one from a couple of weekends back. Shame about it's feet being cut off but there you go.

Canon 500mm f/4L IS, 1.4x and 40D, ISO 400, 1/800 sec. at f/5.6 in Av mode, handheld.

Thanks

Very nice Paul. Makes a change to see a catchlight in a Wagtail shot :toast:

I thought someone might ask  I asked the very same question to the guy who keeps the local bird records/sightings etc and I got a explanation which I was intending to post here but I think I've deleted the original message as I can't find it. Anyway even he said it was complicated! I think we get both here. For this one he tells me "I would label as a White Wagtail mainly due to the very pale flanks with only a small amount of pale grey"

Nicely done Paul :toast:

Those grey rocks compliment the bird very nicely!!

Hi Paul

The feet don't bother me too much and the bird really 'pops out' against the dark BG!
