Spent last weekend up at Franklin Lakes. It was nice to get away even if only briefly. The Aspens in Mineral King Valley are starting to color up nicely. Aspens

Thanks for posting this beautiful view of Mineral King Valley. The glow on the mountain top is delightful. I also like how the slight ruffling of the water surface makes the reflection look like the result of a painter's brush work.

The composition is very strong but I find it a little disturbing that the leading like gets cut off on the left. Was it possible to include the full curve at the time you were making the photo?

Thanks Anil, Yeah...the missing shoreline was there until I straightened the horizon.

The scenery is great, though I think you could do without the shoreline as it takes away from the reflection.

Michael,

Beautiful image and alpen glow on the mountain; wonderful reflection. I agree with Anil, although the cutting off of the shoreline curve is minor. The only thing you could have done was to get wet and eliminate the shoreline completely. But I like this very much as it is.
