nice image david, shows a fly in all its..err...glory
was surprised to read it was natural light, looks flashy. maybe bring the highlights down a tiny bit as they contrast too much with the rest of the tone of the image, and also leave the crop so there is more space for the fly to look into, unless there is nothing in theway of course :)

Hi David,

Nice detailed image, that needs a bit of tweeking, as it looks a bit contrasty and over saturated. Could also do with some noise reduction.

Agree with the above David...............nicely sharp/detailed etc, but a harsh appearance to my eye also!

Thanks lad's for you advice. Mark, it was natural light - bright sunlight with some shadow behind. I agree it is contrasty, but that is what the lighting produced. at the moment I activated the shutter. Here is repost with extra space to the right as suggested.

thats better on the colour and contrast, but now the crop looks a little too large. probably halfway beteen the two would be better.
