I'd keep an eye on mifsuds or fixation, they get this lens in often, both have nikon versions in atm.

Warehouseexpress have one for £1069 in their bargain basement.

Hi Rene,

http://www.camtechuk.com/shop/shop-list/product-list.php?manufac=canon

Malcolm has one here, have dealt with him, really nice bloke and good service.

(scroll down until you get to the sigma's at the bottom)

Rene - I had one for a time but had a few problems with it.
The focus unit mashed itself and the lens went back to Sigma for repair - very quick turn around time, but I was never really enamoured with the lens' performance - it didn't really 'sharpen' until around f6.3 so the whole point of the big weight f2.8 front element was lost.

I love the sigma lenses I currently have, and wished I still had my 500mm prime too - but personally speaking I wouldn't give the 300 2.8 house room again :frown:

I think Harbour 58 has one on Ebay shops.

I'd be a little wary of Harbour58, having bought a D1X with upgraded buffer and boxed, to get a nonboxed, non upgraded unit. Now in all fairness they did give me a full refund.

A friend at work also had anisue buyingan 18-35 boxed with all goodies, but didnt get a hood.

Andy, i had a DG 300mm f2.8 Sigma and really liked it, it was sharp wideopen with a 1.4X and only needed 1/3 a stop with the 2x TC. My only issue was that i used it all the time with the TC!
