Last Grouse for a while.

A more 'traditional' shot of Mr Grouse - sadly Paul's prediction proved correct as I couldn't find grousey later in the week. When I asked the householders whose wall he'd been sat on if they'd seen him they told me that he'd been hit by a speeding car on Monday evening :frown: . They've also lost a few chickens in a similar manner too.

Seems he won't be needing the Equity card after all.

:frown: Shame, it just sad that people dont look where they are driving, or how fast. Nice shot for his Epitaph though.

A sorry end to Mr Grouse's stardom Nick :frown: , and a fine shot to remember him by!

Don't want to start any conspiracies, and i'm certain the pap's were not involved, but his untimely end seems very suspicious to me

Such a waste of a magnificent ceature. At least you took some stunning images of it before its untimely demise.

So it's not just pheasants these folks go for then.

Good shot Nick.
Not sure I like the grass at the base, but then again it could be cropped away w/o any difficulty
