Hi All
I am trying out a different approach to achieve a moody effect to my photography.
Thanks to Dave, Andy and Mark for your comments on the Cygnet, I can see where you are coming from now, Tried to crop and played around with it for a while, giving up.
All C&C for the Swan welcomed and has this pic got appeal
Far better than the last image. The composition is far superior with the swan in a good position within the frame and I personally like the inclusion of the broken reflection.
Three things I would personally look at. The white on the back and tail look quite hot with very little detail (however I am looking at this on a laptop which might account for that), I would like more room between the swan and reflection and the edge of the picture and I do find the fence reflected in the water quite distracting, may be worth looking for another angle with a cleaner background.
Hope this is of some help and again this a far better image than your last swan picture.
