Went out to the PH for sunrise with Jeremy, and no clouds formed until directly after the sun came up, but we got some serious earth shadow going on...and found these plants blooming. Dont have the ID on em, so if anyone knows...feel free to chime in.
Yes, it's another painted hills image and the comp isn't really brain surgery, but the elements seemed pretty complimentary. I'd like to hear your opinions if you would.
On another note, I just wanted to apologize for not being around on this forum too much lately. Between work, and everything else...it's been pretty crazy and hard to even catch my breathe. It will continue to be crazy until November...but it has been great to slip on the forum and see all of the great posts...but I am just confessing to being a bit of a lurker lately...that's all.

Rick, the sky is great, the hill is great (love the contrasting colors)
I do feel the yellow in the foreground is a bit bright.....my eye gets lost there.....

Very nice Rick, I like all three levels. I do agree with Darren that the foreground flowers are a bit too bright for the rest of the scene.

Gosh, Rick, you sure know how to sell a shot . It's not nearly as ho-hum as you make it sound. The colors on the hill are awefully nice and the bushes in the FG add quite a bit of interest.
If you're really unhappy with it, you could (a) crop some off the left to loose the randomness of the hills in the background (say between the bush on the left and the rest of them) or (b) loose the top, maybe about where the edge of the main hill hits the right side of the frame (to make the bushes more dominant).
Very colorful and great comp, Rick, with the hill so dominant in the fg. How about a crop off the bottom (about 3/4"- the bushes then don't compete as much with the fg hill that way, seems to me. And it's a little light at the very top. It's a cool shot.

Nice shot but it looks a little too yellow or over saturated..It's not how I remember it looking.

I yawn also.

Rick, I think this is a very nice photo. The colors in the hills are great. The brush in the forground is "Rabbit Brush" some form of sage.
