Yesterday morning.

Canon EOS DIGITAL REBEL
.5sec @ f8
ISO 200
Tamron 17-50 @ 50mm

I wanted images bad enough yesterday that I allowed my camera to get quite wet. Since the DRebel isn't weather sealed it always makes me nervous to shoot in the rain, but it seemed to do ok yesterday.

I Love It! In your face getting wetter than the subject is worth the equipment risk sometimes and this was definately one of them times. Nice razor sharp detail mirrored in the droplets!

There's some really nice texture in this, Curtis. It's interesting how the drops dominate to the point where it's hard to see the edge of the leaf against the one on the left. (It's almost a puzzle to figure out where the leaf ends.)

I also like they way the branch/stem frames things on the top.

Nice work.

Whoa! Spectacular! I kinda wish the bg was more uniform in color as the brightness of the yellow distracts from the leaf. However, the droplets on that leaf are mesmerizing. The loaded drops on the leaf tips are sensational- great timing and wonderful reflections in them.

Thanks folks!

I was expecting comments about the protruding leaf in the lower left. seems a bit distracting to me, and I was thinking I should probably try to clone it out...?

Really nice Curtis. Talk about shatp! As Mark H. would say, I'm all over it.

Curtis, Looks like we had similar ideas. Took mine on Sat. There is a little blending of the two leaves, but don't know how you could seperate it better. I like the water drops alot.
Maybe it needs to be just a little more "Douglish"

I'm a little undecided myself, about the separation issue on the left. On one hand, it's a little distracting, on the other hand, I agree with Sean that's it's a bit of a puzzle... which also confirms that it's a bit distracting

Anyway, Marie wants a big print of this one so I guess it's not too bad
