What a great weekend! I hope everyone else's was too. I came home today from four days in the San Juans. It was fun to hook up with Derek for an adventure on Deep Creek Mesa. It was great to run into RichieV and Rene too. I know other RMNPers were out there, too bad our paths didn't cross.
For those that could not stay yesterday evening it turned out to be pretty nice. A snow storm decended on the Sneffels range but started clearing by sunset setting up some nice conditions. Today was pretty harsh. Bright and hyper-clear. The only cloud I saw all day was late in the afternoon as I headed home and that was over Grand Junction. Still you work with what you get.
Here are a few from today. Not the cream of the trip but I felt like posting something.
Bridal Veil Falls and power station (I'll probably clone the cables later). Derek and I got some cool foggy shots here on Saturday that I need to go through.

Did I mention it was cold last night? There was still frost on the ground at 11am.
Here is a Telluride mountain-side, late afternoon backlight. Telluride is the holdout. Lots of leaves down across Wilson mesa and Dallas Divide, even from Sat-Sun. The Telluride cottonwoods are done. This was the weekend to be there.

Wow, jpeg is not my friend.
Here is a nice backlit aspen grove on Deep Creek Mesa from Last Dollar Road.
[Derek, all of our trees were still as we left them, as well as my clay-mud hole ]
Great hooking up with you and Derek the other day. I am still starting to go through stuff (dont want to post em quite yet and give away my fall contest stuff - do we?)

Sorry I missed you at Dallas and Telluride. Looks like you had a fun time while there though!
