While walking along the old service road between Parchers and Willow Campground on the South Fork side of Bishop Creek I found this. This was last Friday late afternoon. The storm had broke and there were blue skies over head without much wind. Which wasn't the case down in the Owens Valley. I really enjoy making these intimate scenes.

Works for me Cory...I really like this.

Cory,

This is superb! The composition has a very strong balance between the rock and the aspens. I really like how the top aspen branches provide a "canopy." The rock is nice and the bonus is the small streak of red/orange lichen. This image pulls together beautifully.
Great eye catching this one.

Looks like a little left over snow behind the aspens on the left? Adds a nice touch to the background.

A really refreshing group in this scene Cory between the aspen trees and granite looking boulder. I feel the lichen is a nice added touch to the starkness of the boulder too. I hope you had a chance for some follow up images too from Bishop Canyon area as time is now passing by quickly. :wavey:

Hey Paul! I finished up with fall shooting a bit sooner than I wanted to on Sat. I started getting sick sat. night and was out of commision after than. But I got my fill and am happy with what I got. Hope you got some "keepers" from your trip. Lookin forward to seeing some here on NPN.

Hi Cory,

This real nice! I like the whole concept and the way you presented it. Well done!

I barreled through Bishop yesterday morning (10/15) on my home. The weather was looking mighty suspect to the north and I wanted to get over Sonora Pass before it dumped and CalTrans closed the road. I figured right. It's raining here today, so doubtless, the passes are closed.

I'm sorry you were not up to snuff when I called a few days ago. It would have been great to see you! Next time, my friend!

Ya, sorry about that. I'm still not quite right but better. Tough little bug or something. I can't wait to see your "keepers" from your trip. I kinda figured you'd head straight through. It was snowing "up there" today, but probably above 10k, not much snow accumulation, just a teaser. Til next time :wavey:
