Well, It's time to send off our esteemed moderator to the great, wild Northwest! So, I thought we'd try to get some folks together for a happy hour to toast Rick for all the great work he's done here on the site.
Plan is to meet at BJ's Brewhouse & Restaurant in Westminster, starting around 5:30 on Thursday, October 25th. I have one of their semi private side rooms reserved, so should be easy to fit a good number of folks. This also coincides with Game 2 of the World Series, which will hopefully involve the Rockies! I've been to BJ's several times, cool place with good food and micro brews. Totally casual atmosphere.
BJ's is located in Westminster, just off Highway 36 at the 104th/Church Ranch exit, opposite side of the highway from the Westminster Promenade Theater complex. Pretty easy to find. Here is their info and directions:
So, hope a lot of you can make it by. Please do me a favor and let me know by posting here or e-mailing me at fotobd AT gmail DOT com if you are going to make it, so I can let the restaurant know approximately how many folks we'll have there. See ya soon!

Sounds like a great time. Its a long drive from Colorado Springs (for a 5:30 shindig) but I'll see what I can do.
Man I wish I could make it! I'll actually be on the other end checking out Rick's new location. We will be on a family vacation to the OR coast.

Rick hiking to Deep Lake ~ Wind Rivers, Wyoming
Count me in!! See ya there!

OH!! Two outstanding shots of me. Thanks! I look like a stiff in the first one and about to become a stiff in the second. That looks painful, and I think we were only starting to head uphill at that point.... I'm just glad that no one ever got a shot of me kicking around a beach ball in Medano Creek - that would really be embarrassing!
Thanks for putting this together, Brent! It'll be really nice to break bread and have a beer with folks before heading west. I'm looking forward to it!!

I won't be able to make it up there, but I wish I could. Have fun!

I should be back from my west coast trip by then. I'll pencil it in. Oh, and don't mind if I get a bit worked up over the Rockies game.

Wish I could make it, but, unfortunately, I can't for that date, that's my week to work. Best of luck to you Rick and hope to see some PNW images from you soon!

Very cool - I'll be there.

John,
I would be interested in a carpool up from the springs. I still need to make sure that it will work for me to get up there, but I'm thinking it would be OK.

I'd love to go and carpool from the springs. I'll have to look at things a little closer to the date, but keep me considered.

Mel, Kalin, or any one else we can hook up at the park 'n ride at I-25 and Hwy 105 if you like. My Pathy will hold five easy. I will proabably take the afternoon off so we can leave any time that is good for you guys.

Ok,
We are going to need a *Van* to fit all the Springs folks.
I may be able to make it as well, depending on how busy the new job is that week.

Rick,
I've got a commitment that night and won't be able to be there, but want to thank you for your time, effort, thoughtfulness, and doing a generally great job. Thank you!

Here's one more "Springer"? I would mind joining the carpool bunch. I believe that may make five, but I'm pretty skinny. Got it in my calendar.

Wish I could be there, Rick, as I could use a break from all these fires near my place. Have a wonderful evening and we'll catch up next fall or even sometime up in the PSW sooner.
I won't be able to make it tomorrow night as I gotta get some stuff done before heading out with Rene on Friday for our adventure. Best of luck buddy and plan on having some room for all of us in whatever place you get up there cause us RMNPers plan on crashing often!

I wanted to say thanks to everyone who came by the brewhouse last night - it was great to be able to have one (or three) last beers and cheers with all of you!! And a BIG thanks to Brent for pulling this together - thanks, buddy!!
I'm looking forward to the new experiences in Portland, but last night was a good reminder of what I've enjoyed so much about being here in Colorado and being here on RMNP. It's good to know that it'll be just as easy to post here from Portland as it is from Arvada.
