Again from the first 400mm 5.6 outing - couldn't help posting - he's such a pretty boy
Again, shot in rubbish light - but I thought I'd post him here because I havn't seen a fallow on this board for ages.
Not the most exciting shot in the world but hey, it's a start
Not cropped but I've played with the BG to get a bit more seperation from the subject.
1DII + 400mm f5.6
ISO 400
1/500th @ f8
EOS Raw converter + CS3 Layers,Highpass,Smartsharpen + 2 passes Noise Ninja on the BG.
As always thanks for looking

At least the crappy light holds the whites well Nice job with the processing as it all looks spot on to me Andy. Comps nice as well. Indeed a good looking beast. Nicely done

Hi Andy,
Nice looking of a beast sitting there contemplating his next move. Good PS sills with the BG.

You've produced a fine shot under the circumstances Andy.

Good PS work too, very effective, but subtle at the same time.
Enjoy your new lens

No sign of the dull light being a drawback in this fine result!!
