Darren,
I've always wanted to spend some time in the Maze but I've been reluctant to tool around in there alone. I plan to have my 4runner replaced by then and I believe I can make a firm commitment  , of course, that's before talking to the wife.
Drop me an email if you like.

Darren,

This is also someplace I'd like to visit. I'm driving a Rubicon on 33's, so the vehicle and its driver are good to go. What do you have in mind? I don't think I'd have any trouble making an extended weekend out of it, but I probably can't do a weeklong/midweek venture. I just don't get that much vacation at the current gig. Its a long ways out, so if I know in advance I can be good to go.

WHOA WHOA WHOooooaaaA! Folks - you have no idea what it's like traveling with Darren. You're jumping in here blindly like this is going to be some kind of fun outing or something. Sure, you all know the stories about not showering for weeks. That's nothing, trust me!

Actually, you won't find a better person to tour around with. He can get you out of almost as much trouble as he can get you into. I wish I could join in, but I suspect I'll be busy photographing waterfalls and moss or something green. I never made it to Arches or Canyonlands, so I definitely want to get there one day. I'll have to live vicarously through whomever is lucky enough to return from this tour....

...just sit right back and you'll hear a tale; a tale of a fateful trip...

Darn, I can't commit now - too close to a probable retirement date & move back to Denver.

I'm surprised at such a short trip!
I expected this to be at least a 3 week odyssey through central Utah !

Hey Darren,

I can't commit to hangin' with you in the Maze but if I'm free when you roll through I'd definitely like to hook up with you. Keep me apprised of your travel plans, dude.

Come on people, are you nuts?!? Actually thinking about doing a road trip wit Darren? Really? I mean you'll have to put up with super blinding lights that look like a Close Encounters space ship, him stealing all your powdered donuts, hogging your walkie talkies, and worst of all, everywhere he goes, bears seem to follow him! (shiver)  DOH! And then there is the aforementioned beach ball incident! :jump: I mean, the only reason I even think about hanging out with him on so many trips is to borrow all his 4x5 lenses! (Wait, on second thought, I better be careful what I say. Those lenses are nice!!! ) hehe.

All joking aside, you couldn't road trip with a better person! Always knows his locations, and is definitely the person you want to be with in a 4WD situation! Darren might seem like a quiet sort of guy, but he'll surprise you with a good zinger when you least expect it! Oh, and he always has some good tortellini with him! That's a bonus!

Wish I could plan ahead that far, but with a 5 month old, I'm just excited to be able to plan TWO weeks ahead! We'll see as spring comes around!
