Removing Cover Over LCD on 1DMark 2

I have noticed that dust has accumulated under the cover over the LCD screen of my 1 D Mark 2. A little gentle prying around the edge of the cover seems to move it.

Does anyone know if this cover is safely removed for cleaning, or will I break it if I try?
