Alpenglow!!
Was in RMNP last couple of days. I knew fri morn would be good for alpenglow, but thanks to the clouds to the east (see ESS) it exceeded my expectations! Chasm is my new favorite location, although it was pretty darn cold and windy yesterday morn!

Glad you got up to Chasm. I was up there last Friday and had a lot of fun. Yesterday morning's light show was pretty sweet. I was up on Otis Mountain at sunrise and couldn't find a composition to make use of the light. Glad you were able to enjoy a bit of reflection at Chasm, it is usually blowing pretty hard up there.

Stan - really great shot of the lake. I have yet to make it up there. What time did you hit the trail?

Bill, thanks! #1 is my third fav of that shoot, Im saving my fav for ESS in a couple days. Eric-yep it was blowing too hard for a great reflection--i had to wait in between gusts for the surface to quiet a bit, one reason i chose the 'inlet' since the shallower water would go flat occasionally, also i used a longer exposure to smooth things a bit.
Rene--i left at 4am, which gave me plenty of time. There were three or for groups heading for the summit around the same time.

Really nice Stan. This is definitely one of the places I'd like to hike to. Wish it were closer.
