Berthoud Pass Snowstorm
Went up to Mayflower Gulch today for a hike and finished up just before the rains hit. Then took a drive over Berthoud Pass and encountered a pretty good blizzard.

Scott, there's some incredible detail in this image. This has a real 3D feel to it. I think this is great. Is that snow I'm seeing running diagonally from upper left to lower right?

Yup, thats snow, it was coming down really hard, very little visibility at times. Used a fairly slow shutter speed so it streaked quite a bit

Great shot!

Nice shot Scott. The streaking snow ads another dimension to it.

Scott – Great Shot! I love the diagonal lines of the falling snow. Well done. :toast:

I don't think I have ever seen snow captured in such detail, this is unreal!

That's really cool, almost abstract. I love the diaganol snow lines.

This is excellent, Scott. My kind of image! I love it as is, and also see some potential cropping out most of the sky. Looks like it was a great day to be out with the camera!

Thanks everybody for your comments. I think you are right Rick, cropping the sky out helps, it doesn't add anything to the image.
