Lines In The Water
It looks like everyone that attended the fall event had a good time and captured some nice images. I wish I could have made it. The one weekend in Oct that I was completely booked! Oh well, hopefully next time. I really would like to go out shooting with some of you when time allows. I plan to try and get out somewhere next weekend.

Just cruising through work from this summer. I was wandering the creek at Goat Lake when this caught my eye. I liked the lines in the water and rocks, which is the reason I took this comp. As always I am curious to get other thoughts on it though.

Nice work. I like the strong diagonal and the juxtiposition of the smooth water and the rough rock it's flowing over. There's plenty of stuff to hold my interest.

Does the image look cool to you? The water seems a tad blue, but the rocks seem to have the wrong color. (Of course, I wasn't there .) Since the image has so little color to begin with, it makes it more noticible to me.

Adrian,
It looks good to me. The thin water spilling over the rock is very cool! shutter speed looks perfect.

Very Zen. I like it. I'm guessing this was taken in the shade on a sunny day? That would account for the cool cast and the blue in the wet rocks would be the reflection of the blue sky?

Sean W, it might be a tad blue. I honestly did not spend much time working with the water on this piece. I did see it could use some work on it. I will do that before I print it.

Sean B, It was a sunny day albeit early in the morning still. Even though I was in a slight "canyon" it was bright enough that I needed my 2 stop ND to slow the water down enough.

Thanks everyone for the comments so far!

Great textures and lines here. I like how the water seperates the two types of rock. :toast:
