Hi All,
I will be working in leicester town centre for the next few weeks, I will be doing nights and finishing around 4-6 am, didnt realise Bradgate was so close. What is the current state of the rut? What is the best area? and would a 300mm f4 and 1.4x converter be enough?
Any advice would be great
Regards
Rob

I was there last Sunday morning and there was a fair bit of roaring going on so things are hotting up.
I was there yesterday (wonderful light) and this morning (absolutely awful!) and as Paul said, there's been a fair bit of roaring. I had a 300f/4 & a 1.4x, which were fine, can't see any point in using longer unless you're aftering very close portrait shots.

Rob,
I live in Rugby and have been there a few times over the past few days, I missed Sunday which is a
bit of a bu**er because the light was a bit better you are better off parking at the Newton Linford car park and walking down to the ruins, its about a ten minute walk, opposite the ruins is a small bridge to your right go over that and in field to the left there is usually a congregation of them.
