I finally got the majority of my 4x5s developed and scanned from the last several weeks of fall shooting.

Check them out! http://www.widerange.org/gallery.php?gallery=coloradoFall2007

This one is probably my favorite of the bunch... the yellow aspens take a back seat to the brilliant colors on this peak! This is Red No. 2 during a great day of hiking up and down the various ridgelines of the Red Mountains.

An excellent collection Jack. "West Beckwith Aspens" - holy crap! That light beam is great.

Hi Jack, nice set of snapshots!

Besides your Red Mtn image, I like the Fall Creek Vista and Dallas Creek Autumn a lot!

Nice work!

Jack, wonderful images, and the Richmond Pass Dawn receives my vote. Spectacular image there.

Wow, Jack - some stunning images as usual. I loved all of them, the Aspen Ice Crystals was really unique and interesting. I think Fall Creek Vista is my favorite!

Great images! I really like that Red Mountain image!

What an awesome collection! Hard to pick a favorite, as I don't think any are less than the others. I've gazed on Marcellina so often, it's sure neat to see that perspective looking down instead of up.

Sweet collection, Jack.
I like the aspen raindrops and the West Beckwith images best.

Another excellent collection, Jack! I think my favorites are Fall Creek Vista and Canyon Creek Aspens. Those are great weather shots and seem pretty representative of this autumn. Great stuff, as usual.

Hi, Jack .

In addition to Red Mountain, I also like Owen Reflection as a favorite.

I'll tell you,it's a lot different to see Red Mountain from the top, rather than from Crystal Lake where I was standing. Both incredible.

If, by any stretch, you have a shot of Crystal Lake from Red Mountain, I would love to see it. Easy for me to say...I didn't have to do any climbing to get to Crystal Lake.

Thanks everybody for your comments! I'm glad to see a variety of favorites... I know this collection is not the most stylistically consistent. This fall I may have concentrated a little too much on hiking up mountains for the views; I kind of wish I had taken a few more traditional aspen portraits. Oh well.. next year.

Hey Jack,

Glad to see that you crawled out of your tent long enough to post some fresh color. I'm most impressed with your range and don't have a fave. Nice work!

Sweet selection, Jack. My favorite is still the bonfire... now that looks like fun! :toast:

Good stuff, Jack. An impressive collection for a single outing.

Hi Laurent, actually these photos were from many outings over about three weeks! I'll hopefully have a few more to add too before the fall completely calls it quits.

Wow, Jack. You're a photographic monster. I love the ice crystal covered aspen leaf.

This is a nice series Jack. The colors of Red Mountain are fantastic. The bonfire shot was another cool one.

Wow, your Red Mtn image is stunning. It almost looks like a painting and I really like your comp. I'm also fond of the bonfire image. Great stuff here, Jack.

They all stink!...

Just kidding.

I'm really liking #810. It has "atmosphere" and depth that I can feel. All very nice.
