Storm Chasin
I shot this in January of 2006 while on a trip to Zion. I had a lot of fun following this storm all day. It was pretty awesome, and at times...kind of intimidating.
This shot shows the scale of this massive weather formation with the trucks on the road below.

Wow, very dramatic looking. Funny thing is that I immediately saw what appears to be a man's face in the clouds. His eye in the center, looking up to the RH corner.

Dynamic! A great illustration of power and light.

Looks like a giant eye. Cool shot. Lighting on the plateaus is also cool. I'd clone the two white dots, not sure they are enough to create a good scale.

This is crazy, Rick!

Cool shot Rick though it does have the feel of a "snap shot"

I have to disagree about the snapshot feel....

for me, the slightly slow shutter speed really makes those clouds work and look like they are in a spiral movement.....if the clouds would have been frozen, then I would have agreed with the snapshot feel! :toast:

That is some kinda fierce sky Rick!!! And the balance of warm versus cool also works VERY well!

Thanks for the comments. Jack, actually when I first processed it...I did convert it to B&W, but I like the warm light on the cliffs and the almost blueish clouds...
