I know that National Falls isn't as photogenic as falls on the North Umpqua or especially up on the Columbia (as Eric rightly pointed out), but so far it is one of the best I have found in the Rogue Valley. Locals in the Rogue Valley might have a soft spot for a good photo of it. I'd love any feedback on what you think of this composition compared to the vertical I posted a couple days back (view here). Cheers and Thanks!

Really..? I think it is very photogenic. This is a beauitful shot that is nicely framed.

I didn't mean that it isn't a beautiful forested spot with an impressive falls. I just meant that it doesn't have the smooth arcing cascades of water, s-curve streams and terraces of moss covered rocks that make the Columbia falls so enticing. Thanks Jeremy
I think it is very nice . Really like the "In the forest" feeling. It's like it's new and hasen't carved it own valley yet.

Great find, Sean..... if it was mine, I'd consider cloning out some of the scraggly little branches - especially the ones to the Center Left of the far Left trees in the dead space. Not sure if gardening you work is something you do..... Really nice scene.

I like this version even better than the earlier shot, Sean - both are real winners. I agree that this is a really handsome forest scene, and the falls is perfect as an element that complements the forest without completing it (as some towering Gorge waterfall might do). It's a very subtle, calming image. Very nice.
BTW, in form, it reminds me a lot of Little Zigzag Falls, near Mount Hood.

I like this image much better than the vertical. It has a vastly stronger sense of place. The colors all work well together. VERY well done on the technicals too.
I could see myself sitting in this scene munching on lunch and enjoying the falls.
