The Rutt at Richmond
Spent the morning at Richmond Park on Saturday,lots of action going on,Had to crop 50% for the sake of decency (The back half).

Canon 20d.Canon 300mm f4.iso 400.1/1250th sec @ f5.6
Photo Mechanic/CS3,added 1/2 inch canvas on the bottom

The expression on the females face makes the image for as it simply says, "I thought the rut was the bee's knees" :confused:

Must be an old stag.

Its all over in a flash isn't it - wham, bam! :biggrin: Photographed a role reversal where the hind turned round and mated the stag. He didn't know quite what to do! Made me chuckle. Great behavioural impact image, but should have kept the whole frame - it is only nature. :toast: :toast:
