Sunday Morning
Hi everyone - i am now back after spending almost a month in Africa. the highlight of the trip was climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro which was tough but a lot of fun.

I managed to make it up to the mountains this weekend - this is from Sunday morning. the color around the black balsam area was pretty good.

I would love to hear some thoughts on this one - I worked this one late last night and i was a little groggy. thanks for any suggestions.

Very sweet image, Wade. My only (very minor) nit would be the heavy-handedness of the grad. The foreground seems a bit too unnaturally bright when compared to the sky. Burning the FG or opening up the sky would improve an already killer image you have here. :toast:

Agree with Richard, open up the foreground mountains and sky a bit, and this is a killer!

Hi Erich - this is from the top of Tennent. the color in this particular valley was pretty good i thought, but it seemed to be patchy in other areas.

Thanks for the comments and suggestions everyone - thats exactly what i was looking for. I'll work on this one again tonight.

Very nice photo. I like that the Reds in the sunrise are echoed by the red fall leaves in the FG. I do agree with darkening the FG.

I hope that some of that color will hold on. I will be in the area the first of next week.
