this was after the sun had come up and was somewhat even on the landscape....I really liked the clouds on the left peeking out over the mountain....
Another thing I liked about this is how the V of the mountain reflection worked well with the land at the bottom...
Your thoughts, comments and critiques are greatly appreciated....
This will be the last mountain shot I do for a while...it's time to get back up and photograph all those great waterfalls with the fallen leaves on the ground around them!!!!
Cheers

Darren,
Nice shot with the feel of a crisp autumn day. Looks good to me.

This is a fine example of a super classic mountain and lake photo. Not much not to like here. I also enjoy the clouds and the geometry of the composition. That has got to be one of the smoothest lake surfaces I've seen. Well done!
I wan't going to mention this because I'm not sure if it is an issue or not. I really like the yellow tree on the left and think it adds to the scene, but it seems to pull my eye away from the mountain a bit, which I don't like. Hmm...

Very nice and crisp. It looks about 0.5 degrees tilted to the right on the horizon. I'm not bothered by the yellow tree.

Well there is certainly a LOT to take in here!! I love the overall composition!! The play on matching angles works VERY well. The technicals are spot on too.
The yellow tree and the brilliant yellow clouds can both act as distractions. But in all honesty I bet this would sell just fine hanging matted and framed on a gallery wall.

Oh man, that's gorgeous Darren. Love the clarity on that.

Nicely composed and exposed. Cliff

I think the yellow tree is a problem but my biggest nit is the patch of dark blue sky in the upper left. It looks like the effect of a polarizer on a wide angle lens to me.

Fix the uneven sky/water and horizon and get this on the cover of a 2008 calender !!

Beautiful shot Darren. Nice composition. The tree didn't really stand out until I read the other comments, but now I think they may be correct.
