Here's Blue Hen Falls this morning. The flow is pretty low -- the good news is we're expecting thunderstorms tomorrow and showers on Friday and Saturday. Should make for good flow through the weekend (here and at Brandywine). Bad news is that the color isn't very far along. You can see that the FG maples are just starting to turn. The beeches in the background won't turn for a couple of weeks. Still a beautiful spot to shoot if you're going to be in the CVNP this weekend.
Very picturesque. Can you get down to the base of the falls? It looks like there's a possibility in using the swirling leaves in a composition.

Hi Joel,
That swirl shows up in most of the autumn shots I've taken at Blue Hen. I've never approached it as a subject unto itself. Jack and Bob had their workshop folks there this morning. I bet some of them got down to the base and tried it. If conditions hold this week, I'll give it a try.
He's got a shot up on ES&S of what I was basically thinking. Looks pretty cool. It always amazes me how many different ways there actually are to represent the same subject.
