Sprague Lake Blues
This is the type of blues I could take every day! Handheld shot while walking the loop trail around Sprague Lake in Rocky Mountain National Park.

5D, 24-70L @ 32mm, 1/30 @ f/16, ISO 200, polarizer

That's amazingly still water for this mid-morning shot (anyway - it looks like mid-morning). Great comp and reflections!

Wow. Great picture! I agree with you on looking at scenes like this every day. Did you use a polarizer for this one? The blues came out great.

This is really nice, Wayne...you couldn't have asked for better conditions. Keep 'em coming!

Nice shot Wayne, makes me wish I was there. It looks like there is some evidence of the Pine Beetle problem in a few trees. Did you notice much devastation from the Pine Beetles?

Tom, we did not personally witness too much evidence of the Pine Beetle damage but I did go out hiking one night with the owner of the resort where we stay and he mentioned that he had seen some damaged areas himself. I don't recall where he said they were though.

Nicely done Wayne, love the still reflections of the mountain.

Wayne great reflection shot. This is one of my favorite places to shoot in the park also. It's very easy to get to. I was disappointed in the lack of snow on the peaks this fall the mountains are so much prettier with the white on them.
