This summer I made a two week trip to Glacier, Waterton, Banff, and Jasper National parks. This was my first expedition into these truly awe inspiring parks. As time goes on, I'll share a few more shots from this trip. To start off, here's a photo from the Two Medicine area in Glacier.
The shadow side of the mountain has a slight bluish/purple cast and I'm just wondering if this is a deal breaker for anyone. When I warm it up the greens don't look as good. Thanks for your comments.
It might be a candidate for a little masking to warm up the shadow areas without messing with the greens. It's a pleasant image. I don't think the coolness is a deal breaker.

What Josh said... The touch of light on the mountain peak works well for me.

A cooler cast is precisely what I would expect to see in shadows at this time of day. To me it looks just as it should. However, looking at the same area in the reflection it appears slightly warmer and looks good, so perhaps Ryan's suggestion for some selective warming wouldn't hurt either. Great shot either way.

Selective warming would open this up, in my opinion. Are you familiar with masks ? In Photoshop, you can use adjustment layers and then mask areas to NOT be affected by the adjustment. So you can warm up just one element or part of an image.... search Google for tutorials if you're not into masks yet

Sean, I hadn't compared the reflection to the actual mountain. I do like the warmer tone. Ryan, John, it's been a long time since I've played with masks, so I'll go refresh myself on the technique. We'll see if I can make it look similar to the reflection. Thanks everyone for the suggestions.
