West Coast Trip- Sequoia
Less than 24 hours after I was baking in the heat of Death Valley...I was tromping through a snowstorm in Sequoia NP.

Wow Scott, these are great! Terrific compositions and each has such beautiful colors. I think I like the second one of the four the best. The snow is fantastic too, especially in the fourth shot. I really like these.

Yes,

These are awesome! I have never seen the Sequoias in the snow. You did some great color work. Are these digital or film? Either way great job!

That third photo is out of this world gorgeous, Scott. Killer stuff!

Thanks guys. #1 is pretty weak in my opinion. It's unbalanced and lacks good light...but I thought that it did a good job of telling the story. Derek, these are all digital (Canon 5D + 17-40L). I like #2 the most. #'s 3 and 4 aren't favorites, but they're growing on me.

I like #1 for the sense of scale, but the other 3 are definitely better. #'s 3 and 4 almost seem 3D. Great stuff here Scott.

Beautiful images, Scott. #3 stuck with me. I've scrolled back up to see it 4, no 5, OK 6 times now...

Man, another great series! You had a heckuva trip, I'd say. Can't pick a favorite from this series - they each have such a different feel to them. My wife was looking over my back when I was checking these out last night, and let out a quiet "wow" when she saw #2. But like Scott, #3 impresses me the most; makes me want to walk right into the scene and have a seat on that log.

Hubba hubba Scott. Nicely done. #4 is my fav.

Wow - these are really inspiring... Just beautiful...

Another place I need to go visit

The last two images have a nice sense of balance

Thanks guys. Art, I agree with your assessment. I feel that the second shot is lopsided by the thick tree on the left. Perhaps a 4x5 crop would fix this. 3 and 4 seem balanced to me.

They are all great Scott. Wonderful green colors. I probably like #2 the best with #3 next. #4 is very cool too but it just seems to appear a little off-centered. Nice job.

Scott,

More great stuff. #2 I can swear I have the exact same shot on 6x4.5. I need to look. #4 is my fav.

I think the first and the second are fantastic.
